Here is the list of excel forumlas along with their function.

ABS : ABS function is used to Return the absolute value of a supplied number. Absolute value means the modulus of the number we supplied.

SIGN : Sign formula is used to returns the sign of a supplied number. Sign of the number can be +1, -1 or 0.

GCD : GCD function is used to return the greatest Common Divisor or GCD of two or more given numbers.

LCM : Want to find the lowest common multiple of two numbers? This formula or function make it much easy. It returns the Least Common Multiple of two or more given numbers.

SUM : This formula can be used to return the sum of 2 or complete list of numbers. This is quite useful formula when you need to add individual entries of a column or row.

PRODUCT : Want to find the product of 2 numbers or product of elements of entire row or column then this is the perfect solution to cut short your time. It returns the product of the given numbers.

 

List of Advanced Excel Formulas

POWER : Power formula or function is used to find the result of a number raised to a given power. It returns the result of a given number raised to a power. It greatly reduces your time by going certain high power calculations in seconds.

SQRT : While preparing a balance sheet or a project in excel many times we need to find the square root of the elements. Now finding square root is made much easier. Just use sqrt forumla and it returns the positive square root of the given number.

QUOTIENT : This formula can be used to return the integer portion of a division between two given numbers. You don’t need to calculate quotient manually anymore.

MOD : When we divide a number by another number and we want to know the remainder then this is the perfect formula for that thing. It will return the remainder from a division between two numbers.

AGGREGATE : This is quite useful function as it has the ability to perform more than 1 function. It can be used to calculate the sum, product, average and much more  for a list or even a database. It also has the option to ignore hidden rows and error values. This feature is available in only in Excel 2010. Previous versions of excel don’t support above feature.

SUBTOTAL : This formula is used to performs a specified calculation like sum, product, average, etc. for the values which we supply.

CEILING : Ceiling function is used for rounding off a number away from zero. Rounding off away from zero means rounding a positive number up and a negative number down.

EVEN :  This function is similar to ceiling function but it round off a number to next even number. It rounds a number away from zero that is rounds a positive number up and a negative number down to the next even number.

FLOOR : This formula is just opposite of ceiling function. It is sued to round of a number towards zero which means it rounds off a positive number down and a negative number up.

ODD :    This function is similar to ceiling function but it round off a number to next odd number. It rounds a number away from zero that is rounds a positive number up and a negative number down to the next odd number.

ROUND : This function of formula is used to Round off  a number up or down to a given number of digits.

TRUNC : This formula or function is used to truncate a number towards zero. It rounds off a positive number down and a negative number up to the next integer.

SUMIF : Sumif is a conditional sum formula in which sum is calculated if the condition or criteria is satisfied. It is used to add the cells in a supplied range for a given criteria.

SERIESSUM : This formula is used to find and returns the sum of a power series.

PI : This is quite handy formula used to returns the constant value of pi.

SQRTPI : this formula or function calculate the square root of a number and then  multiply the result by pi and return the final result.

DEGREES : Degrees formula is a trigonometric formula used to convert Radians to Degrees.

RADIANS : This formula is a trigonometric formula used to convert Degrees to Radians.

COS : This trigonometric formula or function is used to returns the Cosine of a given angle.

ACOS : This formula or function is used to returns the Arccosine of a number.

COSH : This formula or function is used to returns the hyperbolic cosine of a number.

ACOSH : This formula or function is used to returns the inverse hyperbolic cosine of a number.

SIN : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Sine of a given angle.

ASIN : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Arcsine of a number.

SINH : This formula or function is used to return the Hyperbolic Sine of a number.

ASINH : This formula or function is used to return the Inverse Hyperbolic Sine of a number.

TAN : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Tangent of a given angle.

ATAN : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Arctangent of a given number

ATAN2 : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Arctangent of a given pair of x and y coordinates.

TANH : This trigonometric formula or function is used to return the Hyperbolic Tangent of a given number.

ATANH : This formula or function is used to return the Inverse Hyperbolic Tangent of a given number.

 

How to use excel formulas

These were the list of excel formulas now lets see how can we use these functions or formulas.

ABS : To use Abs formula just write =(equal to) ABS followed by the number in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the  absolute value of the number is calculated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

SUM : To use Sum formula just write =(equal to) SUM followed by the numbers in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the sum of the numbers is calculated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

PRODUCT : To use Product formula just write =(equal to) PRODUCT followed by the numbers in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the product of the numbers is calculated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

LCM : To use LCM formula just write =(equal to) LCM followed by the numbers in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the LCM of the numbers is calculated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

CEILING : To use Ceiling formula just write =(equal to) CEILING followed by the number in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the Round off of the number is evaluated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

FLOOR : To use Floor formula just write =(equal to) FLOOR followed by the number in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the Round off of the number is evaluated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

MOD : To use Mod formula just write =(equal to) MOD followed by the number in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the Modulus of the number is evaluated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

SQRTPI : To use Sqrtpi formula just write =(equal to) SQRTPI followed by the number in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the result is calculated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

SIN : To use Sin formula just write =(equal to) SIN followed by the angle in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the sine of the angle evaluated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

COS : To use Cos formula just write =(equal to) COS followed by the angle in brackets as shown in the figure. As soon as you close the brackets and hit enter the Cosine of the angle evaluated and displayed in the same cell as shown in the figure.

How To Remove Programs Completely in Windows

To get rid of a program in Windows, all you need to do is to go to the uninstallation corner (in the Control Panel) and uninstall the software. The question is, do you think that can really remove all traces of its presence? The answer is unlikely. Most of the uninstalled applications is not removed entirely. Some files may remain in the installation folder, in the Documents folder or somewhere else in the file system. The worst case, some of its registry keys remain untouched and inflate the Registry. As more of these leftover files and registry keys increased, your computer become slower and performance decreases.

What is the solution? Find a powerful uninstaller tool to completely remove the remains.

Revo Uninstaller is one such software that can completely eradicate a software from your system. It can uninstall an application and remove all traces of its presence (be it files/folders or registry keys).

After you have installed and run the software, Revo Uninstaller will scan your system for all installed apps and list down the apps in the window. You can then right click on any app to uninstall it.

After confirming your decision to uninstall the app, a popup window will appear to offer you 4 uninstall methods. Each of them runs the default uninstallation utility. The difference is hidden in the efficiency of the system scan performed by Revo Uninstaller.

Built-in: Nothing extra, it is the same as the uninstallation process launched from the Windows Control Panel.

Safe: After completing the default uninstallation process, this method scans the registry and the file system for the leftover information, that you can remove safely. This is the least comprehensive but the fastest method.

Moderate: This method extends the capabilities of the Safe method with a more comprehensive registry and file system scans. This method is set as default.

Advanced: This is the slowest but the most powerful method. The capabilities of the Safe and Moderate methods are included and extended with a deep scan to detect all the leftover items of the application being uninstalled.

Note: be very careful when you choose the Advanced method, especially when you have installed different versions of an application (e.g. Firefox 3 and Firefox 4 Beta). The remained items for both versions may be listed and you may find a bit difficult to distinguish the items belonging to the version you want to remove.

Uninstallation and Complete Eradication

Before Revo Uninstaller proceeds to uninstall the application, it will first create a system restore point so that you can restore back to the original settings if your computer malfunctions after the uninstallation.

Once it has completed creating the system restore point and analyzing your application, it will launch the default uninstaller utility of the program.

After the installation is done, it will proceed to detect the obsolete and remained registry keys.

The bold items indicate that they were left by the default uninstall utility of your removed application. When you press the Select All button, all the items will be selected, but the ones in bold style will be deleted. To complete the removal, press the Delete button.

For some uninstallation that require a system reboot, select “Reboot later” and continue with Revo Uninstaller. Revo will detect the files in use and leave them intact until the next reboot. After restarting your computer, these files will no longer be around.

Hunt The Unwanted

The Hunter mode is one feature of Revo Uninstaller that allows you to quickly uninstall an app. When you click the Hunter Mode button, the main window minimizes to the notification area and a hunter sight takes over its place. When you aim it at a shortcut on the desktop, on the Quick Launch Bar or at the icons near the clock, it can capture the application in place and bring it to the uninstallation corner.

Alternatively, you can also drag and drop an app shortcut icon to the Hunter Sight to uninstall it (Right click the sight and select ‘Drag and Drop mode’).

When you click the Tools button on the toolbar, a sidebar with two sliders will come in sight, providingCCleaner like functionality to optimize your system and cover up your traces.

How to Enable/Disable Google Chrome Print Preview Feature [Quick Tips]

One of the feature that Google Chrome has added to its recent release is the Print Preview feature, which as its name implies, allows you to preview the page before the actual printing. This feature is still in beta and is not available for selection in the Wrench menu yet. For those who are unhappy with the ways that Google Chrome handles your printing, here’s how to enable/disable the Google Chrome’s print preview feature.

On your Google Chrome address bar, type “about:flags” (without the quote) and press Enter.

Scroll down the list until you see the option “Print Preview”. Click the Enable link.

Now restart your Google Chrome. Go to Print option and you will see the print preview.

Similarly, to disable the Print Preview feature, go to “about:flags” and click the Disable link.

One thing to note is that the Print preview feature is still in experimental stage and is not ready for general use. I have tried it on several occasion and it doesn’t load the preview correctly.

In addition, if you are using Linux and often using the print feature to convert webpage to PDF file, then this Print Preview will not work as it doesn’t detect the postscript driver as a printer.

8 Of The Coolest Brushes For The Gimp

Like almost any piece of software with rudimentary drawing capability, Gimp includes simple brushes like squares, circles, and fuzzy circles. While they get you by for many basic needs, there’s a lot more you can do. Everything from flowers and vines to flames and bubbles can be created by brushes, and today we’re going to show you some of the coolest ones out there.

Installing a new Brush

All the following brushes will include links for download. Where you place them depends on your OS, but some are as follows:

• Windows 7: C:\Users\(username)\.gimp-(version)\brushes
• Windows XP: C:\Document and Settings\(username)\.gimp-(version)\brushes
• Linux: /home/(username)/.gimp-(version)/brushes
• Mac OSX: /Users/(username)/.gimp-(version)/brushes/

If the brush came in a ZIP file, you’ll need to extract it and place the brush folder in the appropriate location as shown above.

1. Vector Foliage

This lovely brush pack includes several plant-themed brushes capable of scaling to higher resolutions. Vines, flowers, trees, branches and more are included in silhouette style.

2. Create-a-Star Kit

This brush does exactly what the name implies, it lets you create a star by combining different “parts”. In the screenshot below you can see an example of possible ways you could piece together your ideal star.

Some of the brushes have their own color specifications and are not affected by Gimp’s active color choice.

3. Gears Vector Brushes

This pack contains multiple gear types that can scale to very high resolutions. Unlike the star creator, your choice of color is reflected on the gears drawn by the brush.

4. KA05′s Splatterbrush

Sometimes you just need to fling some goop on the wall, and for that, you’ve got the splatter brush. There are many such brushes out there, but this one is quite simple and versatile.

5. Hawksmont Moon Brushes

We’ve demonstrated before the amount of work that can go into creating a nice looking planet in Gimp. This handy little brush can greatly simplify that by giving you a quick and easy moon that can scale to quite large resolutions.

6. Rise Brushes

Anyone who has tried to make abstract wallpaper will likely find this brush quite useful. It’s a small collection of simple abstract sweeps, and could easily add something interesting to your next home-made wallpaper.

7. Hawksmont Snowflakes

In this pack you’ll get several beautiful and highly scalable snowflakes. each with its own unique style and the proper number of sides (anyone drawing an 8-sided snowflake had better go outside in the winter more often).

8. Dimension Brushes

Somewhat similar to the Rise brushes above, the Dimension brushes are meant for abstract designs. These brushes come in many shapes and sizes, some more suitable for high-res graphics than others.

Obviously there are many many more brushes out there that will work with The Gimp.

How To Send Emails Using Another Gmail Account

Many people have more than one email address. A lot of the time, these are not from the same email provider. Personally, I have about 10. As you can imagine, checking that many email addresses all the time is a huge time suck.

One way I have been handling multiple email addresses is to use Gmail as an email hub. The way I will show you will allow you to send and receive emails from your Gmail account.

Note: An important part of this process is being able to forward your email to your Gmail account. Email services like Yahoo do not let you forward your Yahoo mail emails without being a premium or business customer. Please check if you are able to forward your emails to Gmail before you proceed.

I am using Hotmail for my example. The screens you see may vary, but the general steps should be the same regardless of the email program. Even if you have multiple Gmail accounts, this will work.

Part 1: Setting up email forwarding

Once you are logged into your email account, you will need to go to the settings menu. In Hotmail you will need to click on your name in the top right corner of the screen and select “Options“.

On the left side, click on Mail. Once in the Mail settings, you will need to click on Email Forwarding.

In the email forwarding tab, you will see a place to enter your Gmail address. With Hotmail, you will need to check the box telling Hotmail you want to forward your emails to another address. As you can see, there is a note telling you to sign in once every 270 days or your Hotmail account will be cancelled.

If you want to keep a copy of the forwarded email, there is a usually a box you can check to keep a copy on the Hotmail server. Click Done.

Keep your Hotmail account open, you will need to go back to it shortly.

Part 2: Sending from Gmail

After you log into your Gmail account, you will see your name and a gear. Click on the gear to see the mail options. In the drop down, select Mail Settings.

When in the Mail Settings, click on the Accounts and Import tab.

In this tab, about half way down, you will see a section called Send mail as: Click on the tab that says Send mail from another address.

A window will pop up with two text boxes.The first is what you want your name to show up as when you send an email. The second is the email address you want to send from. Fill in the email address and click Next step.

If you are changing email accounts and weening people off the old one, you can choose a different reply-to address here.

The next step is to select the SMTP or outgoing server. I am recommending to use Gmail’s outgoing server for ease of setup. This will save all of your outgoing messages to your Gmail Sent folder.

After you select the outgoing server, you will need to send a verification email to your other email account.

This is why I wanted you to keep your Hotmail or other email account open. When the email from Google arrives in your Hotmail inbox, you can click on the link in the email to verify that you really want to let Google send emails from this account.

Alternatively, you can copy and paste the verification code from the email to the Gmail verification window you last saw.

You should be all set to try a test email. To do this, go to your Gmail inbox and compose a message. In the message composition window, you will now see a drop down option where it displays your email address.

When you send or receive an email from your Hotmail address, the recipient will notice no difference. It will be as though you are logging into your Hotmail account and sending it from there.
